  START/FINISH:  Publix Supermarket, 709 E. 3rd Ave. New Smyrna Beach, FL

  TIMES:  Daily 7AM - Dusk. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.

  TRAIL DESCRIPTION: 1+ Paved surface, boardwalk, and hard packed sand beach. Not suitable for wheelchairs or strollers

  LOCAL ATTRACTIONS:  Structure from first settlement in 1770’s, Riverside Park, Indian River, New Smyrna Museum of History, Shops of Canal Street.

  HISTORY:  Founded in 1877, is at the mouth of Ponce de Leon Inlet. The US Coast Guard Station is located at the northern point of the beach across from the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse.

  DIRECTIONS: From I-95 (either north or south): Take exit 249 (State Road 44) and drive east for approximately 5.8 miles. Just past the SunTrust Bank turn Right into the shopping center and drive to Publix Supermarket. Park in the lot, go into the store to Customer Service Counter and ask for the Walk Box.
