  TIMES:  Dawn to Dusk - Daily.

  TRAIL DESCRIPTION: 1+ Moderately easy. Walk on pavement, hard packed and soft sand. Walk is along beach and river with few shady places. Use of sunscreen and protective clothing is encouraged.

  LOCAL ATTRACTIONS:  Speedway, Halifax Historical Society Museum, Museum of Arts & Sciences, Southeast Museum of Photography, Downtown Shops, Ocean Walk, Boardwalk, Famous Main Street, and the Worlds Most Famous Beach.

  HISTORY:  From 1902-1935 some 13 speed records were set on the 23 mile long beach at Daytona. Today, cars drive on the hard packed sand along the water’s edge from Ponce Inlet to Ormond Beach. Stephen Crane wrote his story, “The Open Boat” while recovering at Lillian’s Place.

  DIRECTIONS: I-95 Exit 261 US-92 International Speedway Blvd). Go East on ISB crossing Intracoastal Waterway to A.1.A. (S. Atlantic Ave.). Right on A.1.A.and continue straight. The Silver Beach Club is on your left at the corner of Silver Beach Ave. Box is in the lobby.
