What Is Going North For The Summer

Since the seasonal change is not as drastic (hot vs. not so hot) here in Florida, we thought we would put together a series of walks to recognize the change from winter to summer. The series starts out to the south and wanders generally north. Unlike the Year Rounds, they are available only on the time and date listed.

SANCTIONED EVENTS

These events are sanctioned by the American Volkssport Association (AVA), a member of the International Federation of Popular Sports (IVV).

ELIGIBILITY:

Anyone may participate. Volkssporting (group walking)is a family activity. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets must be leashed, are not allowed in buildings, on the beach, boardwalks or campgrounds.

PROCEDURE:

At the Start of each event, each participant will sign-in on a Roster with name, address, and signature. Map and directions will be given to each walker. Walks will not be marked, but instructions will be well-written for you to follow. You must check in at the Finish to let us know that you have completed your walk.

REGISTRATION / FEES:

There is a $3.00 Fee for all walkers, with or without IVV Credit. Everyone MUST register AND sign a waiver. Events are held regardless of the weather; there will be no refunds. Children under 12 free unless for credit.
